Optimum 134a for 89 240 AC system?

My understanding is that getting the most out of a system that has been converted to 134a depends a great deal on the correct amount of refrigerant that is added and being careful not to overfill it.

Since I am starting with an empty system what would be the correct amount of 134a to add once I have pulled a vacuum?
