Hello again folks, The search is bad with me, "the old electronic speedometer trick a massive pia 200" is almost where i need to be, but doesn't address my problem. 1992 240 sedan. The speedometer works fine, the odometer is dead. I have replaced both the 15 tooth gear and the 25 tooth gear, and driven around the block and a brief sprint on the interstate but to no avail. I assume the odometer is driven by a stepper motor, and there is probably a broken solder connection involved. At this point, I'm willing to just buy a new speedometer from eBay, but what have I missed? I'll be doing the front struts this weekend so will be checking in.
