87 740GLE Interior Left Window Trim 700

I am planning on installing a single gauge pod to the left of the instrument cluster on the lower left windshield trim of my 87 740. Can't find any info on the safest way to remove that trim panel. I'll need to screw the pod to the lower part of the panel with a hole in the panel to feed 4 18 gauge wires down between the dash and the cowl for power and light feeds to the gauge. Any suggestions?
