Transmission pan and filter change 960/S/V90 900

I want to drop the pan on the transmission of our 1997 960/V90 so I can change the filter. I did a transmission fluid replacement 10k miles ago via cooler lines, and just did a two quart drain and fill with synthetic last weekend. This car has the AW30-40LE transmission. It shifts fine, but I noticed the fluid was still a bit grungy when I did the drain and fill last weekend.

Looks straightforward, but is there anything I need to know? Is it better to use a gasket or reseal with rtv? Genuine Volvo for the filter or is aftermarket acceptable?

Thanks!
