Hard start after oil cahnge

So here's what occurd while changing the oil in my 1991 240. While I was getting the oil wrench attached to the back of the oil filter it slipped and touched the back of the altenator. A small spark and it feel down below the car. Of course I felt stupid for not disconnecting the battery first. But now when the car has sat overnight it will not fire until I turn off the key and then try for a restart. Then it will fire right up. Have I shorted out some part of the fuel system? I will double ck the fuse's but could I have done something to the pre pump?
Relay? Other?
