960 battery in a 940? 900

My 940's battery died (1994, NA, 188K) and I put one from my V90 wagon (aka 960) as a temporary replacement (the wagon's not running at the moment). The 960 battery is slightly longer, but fits OK in the 940 engine compartment. Wonder if it's OK to use it there or should I go find the model specifically designed for the 940? The 960 battery is Interstate MTP-48/H6 (730 CCA). Interstate recommends MT-47/H5 (650 CCA) or PF-47/H5-6 (630 CCA) for the 1994 940.
