Cold Start Injector Missing 200 1991

Pretty sure the gentleman who sold me my 91 244 told me that this item was missing as he could not locate one which was guaranteed to be in working condition.

I may have mistaken the actually name of the component but its function is to expedite the warm-up from cold start. He said that the car would function OK without it but to give it time to heat up before driving.

My question is does anyone know if these are available and if they are an essential requirement for driving this great car which I just brought home last night covering 90 miles in the pouring rain.
