power steering leak 700 1990

Start at the top and work your way down. Front seal on pump (drip behind pulley)? Banjo fitting for the high pressure hose at back of pump and at the rack. The hoses themselves can become porous. Pinion seal of rack. The hard lines at the rack. Dripping from the tie rod boots. A rack that leaks at the end seals may not show signs until the boots are filled--you may have to loosen the rack end of the boots to really know. Leave cardboard under the front to help find a leak. -- Dave
