Fuel rail schrader fitting 200 1993

Just trying to confirm that the fuel rail test port is just a standard schrader valve. I tried a cheap bourdon type dial (tire) gauge, bit it didn't seem able to depress the valve. It's tight quarters, but i was able to get a straight shot at pushing it on--no dice.

Trying to eliminate the FPR as a suspect in my ongoing fuel consumption puzzle. Would an adapter like this likely work to get me better access?

I realize it's not fuel rated, but this is just for a cheap one-time test. I looked at Harbor Freight's cheapie, but it looked like a tight fit with the adapter stack that I think would be needed (Ford adapter).

Thanks!
