Window track of 444-544

You should remove the window and bracket to properly reset the window glass in the lift bracket.

The window is supposed to be retained only by a strip of rubber and not glue. Glue is sometimes used when the lift bracket is rusted or weak or because the correct rubber strip wasn't used.

The channel on the lift bracket for the window glass has to be in good condition for it to hold the glass properly using only the rubber strip. New window lift brackets are still available and I usually have them in stock.

Ever since I started working on Volvos over 30 years ao, the correct rubber strip was ONLY available from Volvo. However, Volvo discontinued that rubber strip over 5 years ago.

Fortunately, I can now get the right thickness rubber strip from VP and I have them in stock.

Installation is a little tricky as it involves tapping the window lift bracket onto the glass.
