Blaupunkt Radio Questions 1800 1973

Hi Chris,

There exist innumerable vendors of car stereo / radio controller knobs.

From a 1973 164 E. Works, yet new capacitors and some other PC board level component replacement will help it. And a nice 1972 164 to be a new home ....

This article may help you:

On the:

http://volvo1800pictures.com/sweden/Volvo_1800_dokumentation_main_page_en.php

Or on another page, please locate a manual for your Blaupunkt stereo. Should illustrate what the radio control do.

As for knobs, the shafts are a standard D-shaft size as are the (not quite correctly named) split-shaft knobs to control tone on the left (I guess) and the right outer knob controller should move, yet forget what it does.

May be able to help you. Spendy, I'll guess.

A search on bing (as google is less helpful it seems) for:
Volvo Blaupunkt stereo knobs

... May help.

I also find knobs that work at the junkyard, in my older radio efforts no as bygone days.

This topic has been treated before for older Volvo radios and missing knobs. I cannot find the post from over a decade ago here, yet some here can help you.

Thanks,

Dud.
