Changing heater pipe seal without removing water pump- is there enough room? 700 1992

1992 745 NA 220K

I removed the water pump on my son's wagon last weekend to fix the leak at the seal between the pump and the head.

He called today to say the seal on the heater pipe on the back side of the water pump is dripping coolant. I have installed a lot of b230f water pumps but this is the first one that I have screwed up.

I would rather not remove the pump again. It would seem that I might be able to cheat my way to a shortcut. Has anyone removed the bolt that holds the pipe to the block and been able to move the pipe back enough to get it free of the pump to get at the seal on the pipe?

Thanks,
Randy
