242 vs 244/5 manual window regulators 200

I've encountered a problem with the driver's side (USA) manual window regulator in my 1982 242. There seems to be confusion on other sites as to whether or not the 242 has a unique regulator compared to the 4 door cars. Of course, the door and window are longer. Some say you can use a 4 door regulator; some say the 242 has a unique regulator with longer arms and a stronger spring to help with the heavier window.

Anyone ever have 2 of these side by side? Hopefully I can repair mine...but if not, want to know what I can substitute.
