VIN location 444-544

These cars did come with VINs. We had to correct the paperwork on our '57 445 because it was titled with the engine number, and once the engine was swapped there was no longer any connection between the paperwork and the actual car.

Anyway, for the 1957 model year, the 445 VIN is stamped on the lateral support member that's directly beneath the radiator. The bummer is that you can't see it with the radiator in place, which can make inspection by the State Police tricky.

I'd think, but can not confirm, that the 1958 445 VIN would be in the same place.

Best,

Cameron
