Window Issue, Not the Switch 700 1985

Hi aleekat,

Front or rear passenger side window?

Won't work in both directions (up/down) from the driver front door power window control cluster?

Please see here:
www.volvowiringdiagrams.com

In the 740 directory is the PDF file:
"TP30800:1 1984 760, 1985 740, 760 Wiring Diagrams.pdf"

PDF page 118 and 119.

Insulation color is listed as abbreviation. So, at the front right switch #57, you see R=red, Y-R=yellow-red, and B=black (usually connection to ground).

And you swapped in known good switches into the driver front door power window control cluster, yes?

If front passenger window, may be a continuity issue at one of the connectors between the FR door switch #57 and the and, in #56, the "drive door switches" (driver front door power window control cluster)?

Also, it may be the passenger door switch, when the switch is not pressed (toggled), current may not flow through the switch. Again, continuity or corrosion.

Yet I'm unsure.

Questions and comments?

Hope that helps.

MacDuff the Unemployable.
