Wrecked My Volvo 200

These have been the worst 3 days I've had in a long time. Friday, I was on the way to the County Courthouse to pay my taxes when I was involved in an accident with another car about 1 block from my destination. My '84 wagon took the brunt of the damage, after hitting or being hit by a Dodge Charger.
Not only is my car undriveable, but I was charged with a moving violation and points against my license, the first in 45 years of driving.

I trust my Brickboard friends to tell me what to expect from the insurance company and salvage yard appraisal people. I filed the claim today and have to go to the towing service yard to get the rest of the stuff out of my beloved Volvo, before it's taken to an appraisal yard (Copart?).

I hope this situation has a bright side, but it's hard to see it right now.
