Cold Start 140-160 1982

This is my very first post/question to any blog, any subject. I am a newbie to the forum and not a mechanic. I really don't know where to start except I found this discussion thread on cold start issues.

The Car: 1982 242 dl, normally aspirated, K-Jet, automatic transmission.

History: The car has been in the family for ~20 years. It lives in Costa Rica where the outside temperature is never less than 68°F.

I have replaced injectors (except the Cold Start injector), injector seals, distributor with cap and rotor, ignition coil, rubber boot (under the intake manifold) , spark plugs and wires, cold start sensor. I think all the vacuum lines are intact but I am not certain as I have been unable to locate a vacuum diagram for my exact arrangement.

The Costa Rica mechanics know nothing about old Volvos but they are relatively inexpensive so, keeping the car going is financially manageable. Besides that, I love the car. I have had similar Volvos since the first one, purchased in 1982.

Problem: The engine fires up easily but will not maintain idle until warmed up for ~1 minute at accelerated rpm. This condition applies to ANY temperature less than FULL operating temperature. So, if I am in the grocery for ten (10) minutes, the start will be difficult. It nearly always requires two or more engagements of the starter/ignition before we can hold the necessary accelerated idle for the required one minute. Early attempts to engage Drive will result in a stalled motor.

Besides any advice you could offer, I am really curious about the best way to use this forum. I know there are many smart guys here. I just need to find one who will help me.
