944 sunroof stuck, wont open. 900 1993

Hello

I am currently trying to fix my sunroof, and i found the sunroof part of the FAQ on this site, and my problem is listed there but that problem was solved by going back and forth with a manual.

I have an electrical sunroof, and a spare manual for testing, but the sunroof is stuck. it wont move at all

is the only way for me to fix this by removing the headliner?
