I've got a '67 220 that I'm gradually working on. I posted a few questions several years ago, but the project went dormant with a new (to us) house and three kids.

Before the project went dormant, I removed the head and took it to the machine shop, having them install hardened valve seats and generally freshen it up. It is definitely a B18 head; I measured the combustion chambers and valves last night, as well as peaking at the valve guides.

Recently, I stripped the block and dropped it off at the machine shop, asking them to clean it up, look at what's there, and get back to me with recommendations. Well, it turns out that someone bored the engine out to B20 specs. With the subsequent wear, I'll need B20 pistons with rings .020 over.

My dilemma now is whether I can or should use the head that I've already invested in on this block. I suspect you all are going to tell me no, but I figured it's worth asking. I do have a B20 head lying around, which I know nothing about, but I'd have to take it to the machine shop and have them work their magic on both the head and my credit card.
