Brake Booster Mounting 444-544

Duett/210 Brake Booster Location

I've finished up with installing front disk brakes on my Duett (445). The next step is to install a remote booster.
A Google image search turned up a couple of cars with the booster mounted on the right side firewall.
I'd like to keep the engine bay as simple as possible. Where else have people mounted the boosters?
I'm thinking that under the dash might work, which would also keep it out of the elements.
Another possibility is in the left side wheel well. Can the booster take that type of abuse? Maybe with some shielding?
Is there any space available under the car?
Photos or links to photos would be most helpful.

Additional questions:
I'm currently planning on keeping the single circuit master cyl. Should I boost the entire system (front disks & rear drums) with a proportioning valve or boost just the front disks?

If I were to decide to use a dual master cyl. what would fit without too much trouble?

Thanks,
Tracy
