AC problem 900 1994

1994 940T 105K

With the cheap gauge that comes with some of the 134A refrigerant the pressure is 39psi at idle.

Increasing the engine speed to 2500 rpm the system is short cycling; compressor on for one second off for three seconds. Pressure fluctuates from 30 to 52 psi with the cycling.

In an attempt to add refrigerant it would appear that the system will not take on any 134A.

Output air temperature is 60 degrees.

At the firewall the line from the compressor is cold enough to cause humid air to condense on the line. The line out of the firewall to the receiver/dryer is warm.

It would seem that there is no circulation in the system. Would the most likely suspect be the orifice tube?

Thanks for any help/suggestions.

Randy
