900 Electrical Adventure: Car Runs but Windows + Signals, don't work 900 1993

Friends,

We are starting to get to know a 1993 940 Sedan NA with Regina fuel injection.

Today brought a new adventure for car electricals following a drive across town on hot day to do a few errands. No problems during the trip, and the windows and signals worked. We did not use the air conditioner and we had the headlight switch off.

Shortly after the first trip, we started the engine to do another errand. The car started but we noticed three problems:

a. the shift lock stayed on (but it was possible to move shifter after pushing the release button)

b. two warning lights stayed on: ABS and SRS.

c. the windows, turn signals, and fan did not work.

I won't start trouble-shooting until the weekend, but I wonder if people might suggest places to start:

ignition switch, which may provide power to run moter and ABS and SRS but not windows and turn signals?

weak battery?

problem with alternator or voltage regulator?
