Coolness prevails 900 1994

Thank you everyone for your helpful responses.

I jumpered the pressure switch and placed the canister in warm water. Initially nothing seemed to be happening after running up and holding engine speed around 1500-2000rpm- no change in the differential temperatures between the lines in/out of the evaporator.

After a minute or the canister got very cold and felt empty. The line to the receiver/dryer started to chill so I plugged the pressure switch back in. I added a bit more 134a and the lines seemed to equalize in temperature.

Our temperature today is 74. Taking the car for a drive at 55-60mph the output air was 43 degrees. Nothing to brag about, but I can live with that.

Again thanks!

Randy
