Rear bumper removal help please 200 1989

I have a friend whose daughter backed into a barrier in an 89 240. Electrolysis around the bolts had taken its toll and the bumper fell off. I have been looking for a replacement for him.

Assuming we find a good bumper how is the rear bumper assembly removed from the car? The car is two hours away. I know there is a flange on each shock tube that is securedto the body with two bolts. What else is involved in removing the bumper with the shock tubes attached?

Thanks,
Randy
