Oil Light Flashes at Hot Idle 200 1981

Just recently my oil light starts flashing rapidly whenever I stop after driving on the freeway. It goes off when I open the throttle a little. It will flash again at each stop. It does not do this if I only drive around town.

I also have a VDO oil pressure gauge. When the oil light is flashing the gauge reads just over 20 psi. The needle is also pulsing but only about the width of the needle. I'm using 10-40 wt. oil.

I rebuilt the engine about 12 years ago and I drive very little. It has run great all this time. At rebuild I also changed from an AW55 to an AW70.

The only thing I've done recently is clean the flame trap and breather and installed a catch tank in the vacuum line going to the intake.
