I had been renewing my registration online for 9 years and then this year it wouldn't work, I went to the DMV and they informed me my title was 'cancelled'. They didn't say they were 'cancelling' the other titles, rather that with the system the states are using now the titles would come up as 'cancelled'like mine.
The photo idea could be a good one as they have put this upon me to solve, thanks!
