sudden engine acceleration 900 1993

This is a reposting of a message from a few weeks ago that, surprisingly, got no responses. Hopefully someone has a recommendation

While parking my 1993 960 at the curb, with feet off gas and brake(car just rolling slowly), the engine suddenly accelerated to about 4000RPM Fortunately, no crash. After turning off the engine and restarting, idle returned to normal. Problem has not reoccurred. All suggestions or recommendations for a fix cheerfully accepted. Thanks
