240 1989 headlight assembly 200 1989

Hi
I'm in Australia.
I have renovated the headlight and re-chromed the reflector shell.
Have new nylon headlight adjustors / connectors.
There 3 - 1 non-adjusting, 2 adjusting the light-beam throw.
The nylon connector clamps/snaps over the end/top of the screw-in adjustors.

How do I snap the white nylon adjustor to the top of the adjustor screw - is it just a very tight fit or is there a particular way to do this simply?
