Fuel pump problem

Hey folks,
I have a problem with my 90 240gl
It had been laid up for 6 months, it used to start right up. I charged the battery and it won't start. I listened for in tank fuel pump activity, nothing. Jumpered electricity from antenna to fuel pump lead, it started and ran! Figured it was the relay, got another one from dismantler and tried that. My neighbor a mechanic w/ a voltmeter checked the relay and said it was getting power and working on one side
But not the other. He checked a wiring diagram and said the problem likely was the ECU. Does that sound right?
Any help would be welcomed.
