brake rotor minimum thickness 120-130

I'm getting a pulsing vibration when applying the brakes. when I had this problem in the past I checked the front right rotor, and it was either warped - not true, and causing the problem. I turned it down minimally and got it relatively true. I do not know it's current thickness, but may have another one that I can swap, but needs to be cleaned up. I have searched the archives for posts where I recall a discussion stating that the manual's stated minimum could be exceeded by a little bit. I cannot find those posts. I believe Eric had said something to the effect that they were designed super thick and could be turned somewhat smaller than spec. Any info welcome. thanks
