1994 940T's Engine as Donor for 1988 240 N/A? 200 1994

The later 940 turbos are quite robust. Turbos from the 1990’s and up are built better and are longer lasting than the earlier turbos. I wouldn’t be afraid them. I own a turbo car with 213k and the turbo acts like new: no noise, no oil leaks and plenty of power.

Some years ago I drove a 93 940 turbo wagon with 300k that was for sale. It ran and felt like it had 70k on the clock. For comparison’s sake my 90 240 with 300k ran well but it was falling apart at the seams and was nowhere near as tight and solid feeling as the 940.
