rough idle, bogging down, surging, when cold (43F), OK the rest of the day 900

Lately on cold (40-45F) mornings, the car will crank OK, then begins to idle rough & smells "rich", surges & bogs down. When I drive, same thing, sometimes it will smooth out, then start bogging down. Then drive 10 minutes in traffic & thermostat opens.
After lunch, 50F air temperature or higher, the car idles & runs just fine for the rest of the day.

I recently replaced brake booster, booster vacuum hose, & fixed vac leak on MAP sensor.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
