Is the bracket on the bottom of the window glass removable?

1991 745

I've got a driver's door glass that does not close evenly. It is not an unusual problem, but there doesn't seem to be an easy fix.

It would seem feasible to move the glass up at one end of the channel it fits into along the bottom in an effort to have it be in the proper position to close and leave no noisy air gap at the top back edge.

I have an extra driver's door glass that I would like to separate from the channel so as to reposition the glass at one end. Has anyone ever removed that channel and if so how did you accomplish that. Failing to find someone who has that experience what suggestions do you have in trying to get it loose?
