Torque Sticks for Wheel Lug Nuts? 200

Well, it looks like no one here so far is a torque stick user. I remember this coming up more than a decade ago, with similar responses. I was kinda interested in the idea, but suspected this short cut was best left to tire shop use. We have heard many stories from owners displeased with how their wheels are handled by tire shops, and I've had my own disappointments -- all boiling down to lack of care or lack of experience.

The torque limiter depends on too many variables to be accurate to anything like two significant digits. Variations in the impact driver, for instance.

It sure does look cool in the hands of an efficient tire guy, but hey. Give it a try, and tell us how it works for you.
