97 960 clean connectors 900 1997

Cleaned and greased connecters on MAS,Throotle valve,IAS not injectors or coil packs.The connectors on rear of engine.The rear of cam sensor plug broke exposing back of pins,pins didnt come out.Cleaned it and Crank? sensor plug. What is round whiteish barrel connector thats between cam plug and crank sensor plug ? Missing went to 2000-3000rpm range,then went away. No check engine lite. Engine now revs and shifts at 5500 to 6000 rpm with foot buried in carb ! and ,NO, I dont do that very often.The best type of thermal paste? does Volvo dealer has new connectors?
