'71-'74 Radiator Replacement 140-160 1974

Hello,

$400.00, although expensive, is a fair price and is actually low at least for my area of SoCal.

My radiator shop can no longer get aftermarket cores as they are no longer being made so the cores now have to be custom made.

I just had 1 done for a 1964 Volvo 544 and I had to charge the customer $600.00. I can get complete aftermarket radiators for the 544, but I don't like the quality and the fact they are have a 2 row core.

Unfortunately, no one makes a replacement radiator for your 145 yet. My brother decided to customize an aftermarket aluminum radiator, but it required a lot if mods including cutting and patching of the front frame section to make it fit. It works great but was a hassle.

If you opt for a recore, ask for a 3 row heavy duty/high efficiency core preferably with staggered core tubes. I'm not sure a cross flow radiator can be made with staggered core tubes, but it's worthwhile to ask.
