Driveshaft Carrier Bearing

My Volvo is a 1992 940 but has a similar arrangement of the propshaft.
A couple of comments from me:
1. I oiled my propshaft centre bearing with engine oil a good while ago after it developed a squeak. Been fine ever since!
2. The UJs on my car have a plug (Allen head if I remember correctly) which can be unscrewed and a grease nipple screwed in - hence can be regreased despite initial appearances.
