I rebuilt two M41s, a M40 and a M4 with the help of a VClassics write-up.

If you're handy with wrenches and have a good selection of tools, it's not awful.
It's very rewarding when it all goes back together properly and works the first time!

I'd do it again in a heartbeat, but I'd imagine parts may be getting prohibitively expensive. It's been probably 15 years since I did my last one.
