940 runs fine when cold - 1 hr,then stalls out/no start when hot 900

Trying to help out a friend still driving his 940 sedan. Car is in regular
use, driving between Albany and NYC weekly.

On a trip to DC last Thursday, the car made it into the city, then stalled
as he parked it in a garage. Started when cool; took to a local shop that couldn't repeat the problem.

tried to drive back to NYC, got to baltimore, where the car stalled. then would run for about fifteen minutes before stalling out and needing to sit.

How many folks think this is radio supression relay? (FAQ suggested cause) Anything else?

Thanks for your help. The car recently had a coil installed, and a used crank sensor for a similar symptom of, except the car just wouldn't start.

It's been a while since I gave up my 945 Wagon, so just coming back for some
advice. The trick is proving the fix is made -- it seems not to want to stall 'til you've driven 1/2 hr and are in a really inconvenient place!
