Dear Griff951,

Hope you're well. The crankshaft pulley (harmonic balancer) is Volvo part #9135194. This pulley was used on B230 engines installed in 240, 740, 760, 780 and 940 engines, from 1985 through 1995.

Timing belts used on 1993 and later B230 engines have a different (rounded) tooth profile: belt used on 1992 and earlier timing belts have a square tooth profile.
The different tooth profile should not matter at all.

Thus, the tool should work on any 940 with a B230 or B230FT engine.
