ECU hot spot 900 1994

The device you photographed is a transistor. The worm's eye view doesn't do much to identify its function, and my experience would tend to say the heat it produced is probably normal and not harmful to its proper operation. I suggest you look for a 90-degree Schrader adapter of the sort sold to truckers to adapt a Bourdon gauge to the port on the rail, but confess I haven't tried one myself, having already the correct fittings for the hose.
