And OP would be well advised to check the power being switched by that troublesome feature of the 7/9 cars before investing much time elsewhere in the fuel system. The typical oxidation-caused poor connection at the RSR's terminals, subsequent heat damage and damage to the water seal is one good explanation for failing to deliver fuel.
