Front seal installation on 1993 940

A properly sized PVC pipe fitting has always worked fine for me. As you’re tapping it in, stop frequently and look to make sure it’s going in straight. A properly fitting seal needs no sealant. To help it slide with less friction I often smear some Special Parts Installation Technology (SPIT) around the outside diameter. Stop driving the seal in when it becomes flush with the engine casing.

Good decision to use Volvo labeled seals.
