Brushes are Bosch PN 11011. 900 1992

How many miles?

Bosch 0 123 500 005 is 100A. Your 1992 940 is Turbo?

Bosch 0 123 500 005 is NLA.

According to FCP Euro, the current Bosch alternator application for your 1992 Volvo 940 is the 100A AL0750X.

You you would need to swap the belt pulley.

The part number FCP Euro provides is Volvo PN 8251744 and is Nippon Denso and NLA from Volvo.

If you reside West Coast your can try iPdUSA or another retail vendor or an i-net outlet.

Yep, Spook lists the brush carrier / voltage regulator as is soled by FCP Euro.

The Bosch brush set PN 11011 may fit, yet research is inconclusive. Further, FCP marks the Bosch brush set PN 11011 as not compatible with 1992+ and elsewhere suggest 11011 does not work with 100+ A Bosch alternators. I'm unsure.

With the voltage regulator / brush carrier removed, spin the pulley as you have loosed the belt to do so. Are the bearings quiet?
