1994 940t power seat curiosity 900 1994

Dear greenvolvo,

Hope you're well. You may be right as to the relay. The limited movement may over-heat the relay, causing it to cease working.

I think the cable needs to be extended by perhaps 1/4", by putting a short steel pin - I used a section of a finishing nail, slightly narrower than is the cable - inside the cup at the end of the motor. If the tip end of the cable has become rounded - it should be square - a file can be used to square the end. The steel pin will push the squared end into the drive gear, and so promote reliable power transmission.

A rounded cable tip could disengage from the drive gear, if there's a bit of resistance due to crud in the tracks or in the rack gear.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

Spook
