Heat shield for smog? (CA) 200 1988

Hi all,

I bought a 1988 245 in CA about 9 months ago. It had to have smog cert at the time in order to make the sale. I recently had some work done on it in a shop, and the shop gave me a heads up that I will need to get a pre-heat tube and heat shield to pass smog next year. They also said getting a new o2 sensor wouldn't be a bad idea. They also said they didn't know where to get the replacement part for the heat shield.

I am having a lot of trouble tracking down a heat shield myself, and I have little idea what I am looking for. Does anyone have any tips for getting a heat shield for a 1988 volvo 245 with the standard b230f?

I have also seen people say that the preheat tube is sometimes removed intentionally. Should I expect any problems with putting the pre-heat tube back on?

Thank you.
