This is indeed a frustrating placement. I'm sure safety was somehow involved in the decision.

If you search for schrader adapters you'll find right angle fittings for truckers. I've never needed one, because I already have made an adapter to fit the rail to hose fitting one requires before the 1992 rail got the test port.

Wow, up to $175 now? Yikes. Used to be $40.
