Replacement cars after 240s, 740s, 940s? 900

With newer cars going computerized, there is no longer an 'easy to repair' vehicle. You might want to look at this:

It is FWD, not AWD, which keeps things easier and gets better mpg. Just don't be like the current owner, set the climate control to the temperature you want and leave it in AUTO. The car will warm up as fast as it can without making you futz with the dials later.

Starting in 1994(?), Volvo galvanized the body panels resulting in much less rust. The nuts and bolts are a different story, as you well know.
