the old temp gage trick 92 245. return of the oldduke some may rememba 200

hi arty b- thanks for the reply. figure t stat is ok. engine seems to run plenty hot.top hose on stat cover gets hot after about 10 minutes of running so figure stat is opening correctly and coolant is flowing. that leaves the temp board. never replaced stat or worked on gage. oil look cleans and car still pumps good mpg at 22 in town. coolant is not dirty and the tester still floats 3-4 balls (protected to a lower temp than it ever gets to here). surmise the coolant is good. on the f scale of (1-5f) how bad is pulling out the board to get gage to work normally? what think you of my thought on a stewart warner gage. btw had a conversation with paul t once about 29s little boy and the end of the war years ago at an air show. very fascinating. thanks tons oldduke
