1996 960 cam timing 900

Dear Mr. Weekend,

Hope you're well. By "top cam cover" do you refer to: (a) the cover at the front of the engine - which must be removed to gain access to the timing belt (#9458049) - or (b) to the cover at the top of the engine, that goes on top of the ignition coils (Part #1397808).

The timing belt cover is available, e.g., https://www.eeuroparts.com/Parts/28420/Timing-Cover-Upper-9458049/ .

The engine top cover (#1397808) cannot be had from a U.S.-based Volvo dealer, but should be available from a salvage yard. I'm pretty sure it was used on most Volvo six-cylinder engines.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

Spook
